Dr. Ester Nasiri Trujillo
Dr. Trujillo (she/her) is a research professional, recovering academic, and first-gen corporate girlie + PhD-holder. She is a second-gen Salvi-Mexican from East LA, author, and community advocate. After earning her bachelors (UCLA), masters (UCSB) and doctoral (UCSB) degrees in Chicana/o Studies, she became an award-winning professor of Latina/o Studies. After spending 16 years in academia, she decided to craft a career in the private sector. She is currently a UX research leader at JP Morgan Chase where she drives experiences that matter to customers. She proudly advocates for Latinx communities on the Chicago History Museum’s Aquí En Chicago advisory committee and is on the board of directors of the Telpochcalli Community Education Project.

Yvette Martinez-Vu, PhD
Dr. Martinez-Vu (she/her) is a first-gen Chicana grad school and productivity coach, consultant, author, and speaker. She is the producer and host of the Grad School Femtoring Podcast and founder of Grad School Femtoring, LLC where she supports first-generation BIPOCs as they navigate higher education and beyond. Dr. Yvette is the co-author of the book, Is Grad School For Me?: Demystifying the Application Process for First-Gen BIPOC Students with the University of California Press and co-editor of the bestselling Chicana M(other)work Anthology with the University of Arizona Press. More recently, Dr. Yvette has collaborated with companies and nonprofits, including Madecraft and the Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP).
